RO: Binecunoscuta poveste a Sfantului Martin este adusă pe scenă ca imagine a speranței și a binelui. Pentru ca sentimentele de compasiune și milă au dispărut aproape de tot din societatea noastră, spectacolul își propune să arate că acestea nu sunt simple cuvinte din dicționar.

Călătoria soldatului Martin spre Roma este călătoria lui inițiatică, în care dă dovadă de bunătate și își oferă sprijinul oricărui om în nevoie. Cu cine se întâlnește și cum i se schimbă viața rămâne de văzut. Împăratul Romei îl somează să plece la război împotriva voinței lui, iar pe câmpul de luptă acesta își pierde prietenul, tovarășul de drum, pe Mutus. Dar cum el reprezintă o speranță pentru oamenii de rând, se sfârșește cu bine povestea, căci și Împăratul și-a ținut cuvântul, că îl eliberează, dacă Martin supraviețuiește războiului.

O poveste cu tâlc și cu haz.

 

EN: The well-known story of Saint Martin is brought to the stage as an image of hope and goodness. Because feelings of compassion and mercy have nearly disappeared from our society, the play aims to show that these are not just words in the dictionary.

Soldier Martin's journey to Rome is his initiatory journey in which he demonstrates kindness and offers his support to anyone in need. Who he meets and how his life changes remain to be seen. The Roman Emperor compels him to go to war against his will, and on the battlefield, he loses his friend and fellow traveler, Mutus. But as he represents hope for ordinary people, the story ends well because the Emperor keeps his word and releases Martin if he survives the war.
